Re: Classic industries re-pop t-top sunvisors?

Any suggestions on a different vendor? I am going to need a set of visors and T-top headliner and want them to match.

I know this topic comes up at least once a week and I wish we could get a sticky from at least one or two members that has purchased these items already along with pictures of the overal product mounted and problem areas.

For example if there is a gap in the rear when the headliner is mounted or that it can be photographed and pointed out.

It would help us a lot better in our decision making instead of reading 50 + threads with basic negative comments without an exact explanation as to why or no pictures to back it up.

Thanks to the few that have posted pics!

Yeah, I'm thinking of buying the whole kit soon (headliner, visors, and sail panels) and I would definitely like to see pictures . Mine is a hardtop though.

Re: Classic industries re-pop t-top sunvisors?

Keep in mind that there is only one company making headliners and sun visors. No matter where you buy from, you get the same product. As mentioned, there are some known limitations with the headliners and sun visors that have been mentioned many times on the forums. The headliners fit well, but not as well as the originals, especially in the case of t-top headliners. The visors fit beautifully, but do have issues with not staying tight up against the headliner, as well as sometimes having the material separate on the concave side of the t-top models. That can't be seen when they're in the "up" position though.

In both cases, I think these will not be a major problem for most people. If you have a nice stock show car, then you'll want to spend the extra money to have an upholstery shop recover your headliner and visors. If this is a daily driver or just a car that you're trying to improve, the aftermarket stuff will be fine.

Jim, what about the visors you deal with? Are they the same as the ones in Classic Industries or in the other catalogs? I thought I read somewhere that you had a shop duplicate the visors to their original shape only withoput the decals or mirrors.
