If I were to get Vette brakes, I would cover it up with CAMARO on the caliper.

Re: 2007 Corvette Dash
good luck with that, u only have to GRIND the "corvette" off and then i guess engrave/weld on camaro? or you could paint it, not worth it man, just don't get corvette brakes, and let those with them be happy

Re: 2007 Corvette Dash
well i could have run the camaro caliper..it would have worked just fine but the vette ones are already powder coated red
much better than painted calipers...and goes great with the car so i'll deal with corvette on the car. but this is way offtopic i guess. Surprised some ppl actually dont like the whole corvette parts on camaros.
on the topic of c6 dash in a camaro, i dont think the corvette is dimensionally the same as a camaro so i dont think it would fit to begin with.

Re: 2007 Corvette Dash
When I first read this post I had to scroll back up to see when it was originally posted and after seeing that it only took a month to get the dash in there, I figured it was BS. Nevermind the fact that a dash that new with all the bells and whistles would only be $250.
I like the comment that, "I'll get pics of it if my mom doesn't through the broken dash out" LOL He was basically already making up his next excuse to fall back on when he doesn't post pics.
I don't think anyone who would post this:
...would have the skill to complete this dash swap in a months time.

Come on guys, stop acting like a bunch of idiots (not directed toward everyone). We are not here to yell at each other and call names over the internet like a bunch of ignorant and uneducated people. Have some respect for one another.
I am guessing that the only reason the thread is still open is to give him a chance to post pictures of the dash if it was indeed done. This thread is not here so that we can all call names and try to prove how smart we are by saying he didn't do it. Leave it alone until there are pictures, and if none appear, we know it was not done. I would love to see this done, but if it didn't happen, its not a big deal so just let it go.

Re: 2007 Corvette Dash
i personally would have used blank centercaps and grinded off the corvette lettering.
nothing is wrong with vette parts.... i think they look great. camaro, s10, whatever you can bolt them into.
i seen a set of vette wheels as of late with a set of camaro ss 10 spoke centercaps.... changed the look of the wheel. im just different for the most part....

Re: 2007 Corvette Dash
i bet it would be cheaper/easier (aside from buying vette) to cut up a third gen and put the body panels around the vette. i mean come on they can make a kit to make a 4th gen look like a bel air or a early 90s t bird look like a 49-51 ford one, why cant they have a kit to make a new vette look like an old camaro?
i kid, of course!

I find it interesting that he was on TGO yesterday, yet hasn't posted a single word here.
My bet, he's getting a good laugh at how much effort ya'll are putting into his joke on ya'll.
Just let it go...Ya'll are doing exactly what he set out to do.....Trick ya'll & see how long ya'll will keep it up on this thread.

Re: 2007 Corvette Dash
Sorry, but this thread isn't going anywhere. I've already had to remove a few personal attacks between members once before. This thread looks to be finished.
To the original poster, you show to be around central IA (I'll leave it at that, but I can name the town). You're not far. Would you like me to stop by and take some pictures and notes, since you don't have a camera? On my way, I can also stop by Accurate Auto in Ames to get some cliff notes on the wiring?
What do you think?
