Where did you buy you A-Pillar Pod??

Hello, I want to get a t-top A-pillar dual gauge pod, the whole a-pillar not just a screw on pod.

Where did you guys get yours and how was the finish on the plastic? was it the same texture as original? Also any fitment issue? I did search on here and most said it was a 100% direct fit.

I found this one http://www.yearone.com/serverfiles/f...?hid=P26AL7345 , looks like a good deal. Anybody using YearOnes pillar?
More searching yielded this http://www.speedhut.com/product_deta...NUMBER-635.htm Anyone have that one?

Re: Where did you buy you A-Pillar Pod??

I purchased a triple pod for my t-top IROC to fill with Auto Meter's. Not too happy with it as it appears that it'll end up looking hacked or with a sad seam line showing. A better design would be a molding that has the pod formed into it without seams. Just my .02

Was that the full pillar? Or was it just the part about the size of 3 gauges to fit in? What brand was the Pod? you mentioned Autometer gauges i think.

Re: Where did you buy you A-Pillar Pod??

I have a triple gauge pod from Autometer but I honestly believe the gauge pods sit too low on the pillar since the bottom pod sits directly on the dashpad.... The finish is alright, not stock but not bad... I got mine off ebay for like $10...

Is that the whole pillar? or just a screw on piece?

I found the same problem. I bought a 3-pod one but my dash sits about 1/4" high I suppose because it did not fit untill I took the dash pad off. Stupid how they did that, there is no tollerance. anybody try the 2-pod? I hope the bottom one in that is higher than the bottom one in the 3-pod.

Re: Where did you buy you A-Pillar Pod??

the dual pod "full" a-pillar from autometer also sits directly on the dashpad. I am returning it and going another route, its just that bad of a design.

Well that solves that idea of mine. Why would Autometer do that? Weird.

Anybody have one from another manufacturer that can comment on how much space is between the bottom 'pod' and the top of the dash pad?

Why do I keep finding posts referring to me? A friend of mine made these, I believe by using those add-on pods molded on to a stock pillar piece.
