Column problems

I swapped my steering column for a tilt column and now my wipers dont work. I checked everything as I can see. I just wanted to know if anyone else had the same problems and what was the remedy.

Thanks

Re: Column problems

Did you plug back in the harness that comes from the turn signal lever? It's separate from the column harness.

I will have to check again as Im not too sure as when I took it out it was a couple weeks before I put it back in. I might have missed it. If I didnt plug it in would it effect anything else???

Re: Column problems

Did your old column have intermittent wiper control? Your new column should definately have intermittent wipers as the options usually came together. If the wiper switches are different you will have to swap the control board. (Located inside the wiper motor cover in the engine compartment)
Good luck!

I dont think it has that option but I will check it out. Would it be easier to replace the wiper motor than the board??
