fixing my 91 tach
anyone know who can or what needs to be done to fix the tach in my 91Z? i thought i seen someone on here that can fix them. it works...just not even close to being accurate.

There is a faulty resistor bank on the circuit board of the tach. You need to establish which pathway of the board is faulty and bypass it by soldering a resister in place. I used a variable resistor so I can actually calibrate my tach with a computer readout.
Search and you will find detailed instructions. There is a long thread floating around somewhere about fixing the 91-92 tachs. It's really not as bad as it sounds, I did mine in an hour to two, including taking the gauge cluster out.
