Has anyone replaced thier T-top headliner???
Hey Guys,
I tried to post a few times in another thread and nobody responded.....I just need a simple answer to a simple question.
I need to know how many of those breakable plastic clips are in the headliner so I can go ahead and order them. I'm recovering my headliner and applying some fatmat next week and want to be ready.
Please help
Thanks

I want to guess just two in the front inbetween the sun visors. And I'm pulling this from memory, but yes those look correct.

You may be able to still purchase the plastic clips from your GM parts dealer. I did but did not need them. (Replaced my OE headliner with entire new plastic covered unit). When you remove the OE headliner, be careful. The retainer clips may pull free from the headliner backing. If that happens, your sol. (The clips pulled out of my OE headliner and damaged it beyond repair.)
If your headliner pulls free without damage, chance are you wont need the new replacement clips.
Good luck.

Hopefully nothing is damages, the headliner has been recovered before but is still stuck to the roof pretty good....so hopefully it'll come out ok.
Thanks again

Dont the aftermarket ABS headliners eliminate those clips? They just use velcro across the top. The dome light/overhead console, visors, a-piller trim, and c-pillar trim all hold the liner up... So if you do bust those clips, I wouldnt worry about it. Nothing wrong with using some good velcro.
