Re: Seatbelt rebuild kits?

The retractor fix involved installing a metal wire clip to stop the rewind spring from falling off. If it has already fallen off it can be rewound by spinning it and then pressing it back onto the retractor assembly.

I've got a box of the retractor clips. They come in sets of 10 or 12 cost a little over a $1 each. Only two are required be car. The fix was for ....'83-86 cars I believe. The retractor spring was just held on by friction on two little plastic pegs.

well its mostly for locking. the drivers side is temper-mental. and the passenger side doesn't really lock. both retract well, they just have trouble locking

Re: Seatbelt rebuild kits?

They are still available.I get mine from a GM dealer.Usually get about 10 sets of the pushbutton kits at a time.More that likely you will have to have it special ordered as I dont believe the GM dealers stock them
