New Interior....
here we go! Started with light grey interior...stock for an 89 formula. Switching to dark grey, featuring new carpet and door panels from Jims85iroc, and a locally recovered headliner and sunvisors.

It looks like your carpet is cut to fit? Are you putting a noise reducing padding under the carpet? Just curious and looking forward to seeing how it turns out. Thanks for the pics!

Re: New Interior....
Looks good. I have the same paint on my formula. I love my red interior though. All I need is new carpet and a black dash to match my black seats...
So far so good though!

Re: New Interior....
You have to trim some excess off the carpet....nothing bad. Yes, there is factory style Jute on the back of the carpet. I'll add more pics with the more I get done, stay tuned!

Re: New Interior....
Looking good. Did you find your build sheet under the carpet?
I used peal-n-seal on mine insted of dynomat. Its a roofing material for trailers you can get at most box stores. Its pretty much the same stuff, just a whole lot cheaper.
I also used a milar insulation that looks like buble wrap except its made out of milar, its what you see in the fenderwells if you look at the cardomain link in the sig. I didn't but it under the carpet because I didn't want to pop it everytime I stood on it.

Re: New Interior....
The extra thickness of the dynomat will propably make the fitted carpet buldge in a few spots use a heat gun to fix those spots, just don't melt the carpet.
If you judge your speed by sense and sound pay attention the extra insulation I got a ticket the 3ed time out I saw the blue lights looked down and was going alot faster than I thought.

I judge my speed with the speedometer LOL
I have some more trimming to get the front carpet where I want it, then I'l trim bolt holes and such and install the plastics.
Fun stuff! not.

Re: New Interior....
Almost done. I have to smooth the carpet down a little after it settles for awhile. Install a couple more screws, bolt the seats down, and some other misc. crap. What do you think?
