Re: Install of LED’s in an Overhead Console
Hey guys, I just received this 36 LED panel from the seller on the link below.I was looking for LED tailights for my bike & saw this panel. So i ordered both. This thing is BRIGHT.I thought the one ive been using from superbrightleds was bright(it is). This one is even brighter.I can see the diff in the daylight, but ill take some nighttime pics to show the difference.Price is cheap too.

You can pull the item description out of the link though... So just do a new search. Based on the link's item descrip, here is a current auction with the 36LED board.

84 1LE: Maybe you mentioned...are you running that board through the dome light lens? Or is it just sitting exposed?

Ok cool... I wasnt sure if that picture you posted was with or without the lense. They must be bright if that is with the lens on.
So the board has an adapter, that fits into our stock bulb holder? And the board just gets held up by the lense? Or does the board attach somehow?
I think Im going to order one of these to check it out.

Yeah I remember how you mounted that one. I thought this one was bigger. And he mentioned it mounted just like the stock bulb. So I was wondering if it was something different. Sounded like a "new find" for the 36 LED light board.
Either way...I think Im gonna pick one up just to mess around with it. Ide like to put some in my Jeep's overhead console as well.

The 36 LED unit fits right between the two contact points.Where the original bulb fit.You may or may not have squeeze the contacts closer together.Just depends on how much the plastic has warped over the years.
I soldered the wire leads from the top of the OH console. My LED came with a plug, so i can disconnect it without having to cut the wires.
Yes, Its VERY bright, 2-3 times brighter. The dome lens was on for the pics posted.
