Dash Pad Cover - Anyone try this?
Here's the site: http://www.fbodymotorsports.com/inc/sdetail/15478
I've been eye-balling this for a few weeks now. I know I've easily spent over $100 with the dash pad replacements on my old '92 RS and current '92 Z28. I'm so sick and tired of having it crack every year or so. ANYWAY, if this is a repost, please let me know and I'll delete the thread. I'm a newb, so I know I'm bound to have a repost sooner or later.
If anyone's tried this and hated/loved it, please post a reply. Any help would be sufficient!

I just bought a 92 Z28 and the dash has one of these. It is warped big time! I don't know how long its been on the dash or where it was purchased. Just FYI!

Do yourself a favor.
Do a search in the "Aftermarket Vendor Review" for fbodymotorsports.

Yeah, I noticed that when it was at my house. I know I'll never buy one. I'll either shell out the coin for a new one or fix/refinish one of the few that I have.

I keep my dash pad covered with a carpet cover shaped to the dash - it's kept my perfect dash pad perfect for 3 years of sun so far. They are $35, and I highly recommend them. I ONLY uncover my pad at shows, and usually not even then - if a judge wants to see my pad, he/she can ask.

Re: Dash Pad Cover - Anyone try this?
I did this for my El Camino. Worked ok, but made everything fit a bit tighter because it is just an overlay over the existing dash.
What I want to try on my Camaro is fiberglassing it. Just haven't worked up the ambition because I've had so many other projects going on.

We do carry the dash pad covers that will clean up your cracked stock one.
They're made pretty well,we sell quite a few of them and haven't had any complaints on quality or lifting in the middle. From what I've hear if you follow the instructions you shouldn't have any issues with them.
There are 2 or 3 companies making them,we carry the ACCU-FORM ones that are decent.
Here are a couple of links to them on our site.
