Digital Dash

Im not really interested in selling it or parting my car off, but In my 87 trans-am I have a digital dash. From my understanding this was only realeased in 86-87 trans-am and firebird GTA's. Correct me if im wrong though, lol.

Now to my question, how much do they usually go for when selling them? If I ever decide to get rid of the car im going to part it out instead, so I was just wondering how much the digital dash's was worth.

Re: Digital Dash

The Digital Dash was offered in GTA model cars from 1987 to 1988 if I recall correctly. They may have been optional on Trans Am but I don't recall ever seeing one equipped with one from the factory.

It varies. Is it complete? Is it just the cluster or the entire dash? Does it work? Are there any bad lights on it? Is the bezel with it? Is it clean? Is it scratched? Basically it boils down to condition. Why would you part out the car vs. selling it whole? That doesn't make much sense to me. Why part out a running car?

According to the technical data that's on this site the digital dash was introduced in 1985. This predates the GTA and as such it would have been an option for Trans Ams at least through 1986.

Its full, in almost mint condition, no lights are bad, it works perfect. Around here there isn't hardly a market at all around here for third gens. I bought the car for 1800. Parting it off I could make more cash off of it than selling it whole around here.

You should take pics of your car. If you really want to sell it, consider selling it online and potentially out of state. You may get a lot more money for it.

Re: Digital Dash

I went to look at a car recently. Its an 88 Trans Am, not GTA, with a digital dash. It sounds like it was an option for later than 86 too.

The digital dash was an option before the GTA was even around.

Didn't it date back to 1985?
