Changing Guages

I own a 89 camaro, looking to do a gauge swap. (I heard speedhut is good) I'm wanting to swap my stock gauges for aftermarket gauges but have them fit exactly, so it still appears stock. How well do the electric speedo's work with the adapter to the tranny? (i have a mechanical gauge currently)

Re: Changing Guages

My friend has an electric speedo on his 89 formula, and he has had nothing but problems. the mechanical one has never let me down, i would just stick with it, even though it not as accurate, but who cares when your blowing by people LMAO

as for the stock replacement gauges, check some websites out who specify with 3rd gen camaros/firebirds

www.hawksthirdgenparts.com
www.ecklerscamaro.com
www.camarocentral.com
www.youngsfbody.com

even summitracing.com might have some stuff

or there is another option

replace the gauges with oem or nos gauges and place in Gauge inlays to give them a new style look with still looking mostly stock
