Gauge cluster issue

Everytime I put my right signal on, my tach, volts and oil pressure gauges go out. Took it apart but couldn't find a problem...plus when I turn on the cluster lights it does it....Anyone ever had this problem?

Mine does the same thing except my fuel gauge isn't affected. Right blinker light just stays on..

Re: Gauge cluster issue

if you look right above your distributer on the firewall the should be a bolt screwed in the fire wall with a braided wire attached to it thats the ground wire it goes from the firewall to the back of the engine good luck !

Re: Gauge cluster issue

behind the distributor, its a bare braided flat wire that goes from the fire wall to the block or intake bolt

Re: Gauge cluster issue

I have a similar issue where when i turn my car on, my volts gauge is bouncing up and down in the middle of the gauge, my gas is off my a 1/4 of a tank, and my temperature gauge is pinned at the bottom. I've just decided to change the sensors.

Re: Gauge cluster issue

I said the hell with it and just changed the gauges, a little pricy but damn looks good. A black piece of lexan, some hole saws, and some home work tracing wires. Works no diming of lights no gas gauge sticking
