Interior parts (radio delete plate etc)

Hi guys, I'm looking for some interior parts. I need a radio delete plate. I have made my own but I really like the look of the factory delete plate. I also heard that 1LE cars had block off plates where the A/C vents normally are. Where could I find these? I would also like the lights switch bezel without the hole for the fog light switch so I can mount my nitrous arm switch and purge button there. Thanks!

the 82-89 Camaro non AC dash, is the same as the 1LE dash. The vents do not have block off plates you can purchase. The dash simply does not have the cutouts for the vents. It's a solid molded piece. This is only for the side vents. The center vent is still open.

Thanks a lot! Too bad about the vents in the dash. I removed my A/C equipment ages ago and the vents just flop around when I'm driving .

You can fix the flopping of the vents so that they stay in place where you set them - get self adhesive felt from the craft store, take the vents out, and adhere a piece to each outer side of the vent, then reinstall. There's a write up on it in the tech articles under beautification I believe - I did it years ago and it works great - the vents stay where you aim them.

Re: Interior parts (radio delete plate etc)

my 82 without a/c has those blank spots... so im sure if you find one in a junkyard without a/c, you should be good.

EDIT: Also has the light option you want, i believe 82-86 had the blank ones?

I live in the caribbean and there are probably no third gens in the junkyards here. Really like the look without the A/C vents though. Mine is an 82 but one of the previous owners put a nitrous button where the fog light switch should be. I don't like how they dit it at all but if I remove the button I'll be stuck with a big hole.

Re: Interior parts (radio delete plate etc)

go here: http://www.mcmaster.com/#abs-sheets/=75rl8c Under the "Finish", click on "Textured on one side" and you'll have a bunch of sizes to choose from. I haven't bought from them yet, but I'm guessing the texture is pretty close to our dashes and the prices are cheap. I bet you could make a radio delete plate and blockoff plates for your outer vents for half the cost of the radio delete plate.

This is what the AC delete looks like. These parts are for sale by the way. The only imperfection is where someone drilled a small hole and put a light in it. That should show in the third pic.

I also have the AC delete heater box for sale.

Re: Interior parts (radio delete plate etc)

Really like the look :P. I'm just gonna fix my vent so they don't keep flopping around when I'm driving. My dash is pretty mint (and that's in an '82 that's lived in 90 degree weather forever). Gonna get the 1le delete plate though. I have my own made right now but I love the look of the factory delete plate. Thanks everyone!

That was 4 years ago man, I hear the non ac box from s-10's fit but I'm not sure what years. That should be easy enough to find in a junk yard.
