Just wondering where everyone put a shift light in there car as Im thinkin of putting might where the cigerette lighter is as mine doesnt work anyways. If you have pics of what you have done that would be awsome. Sorry if there has been a post of this before but i couldnt find one. Thanks

 

I actually have two... long story. I like both locations.

One is where the cig lighter is, the other is beside my tach. The cig lighter one was first, but the tach I have came with its own integrated shift light - I cant find a way to extend it all the way over to the cig lighter either. Oh well.

 

My shift light is mounted on the steering column using a big hose clamp.

 

I had mine mounted under dash between gauge cluster and AC Vents till I bought my new tach its mounted under the ac vents between the radio and ac vents with light attached to tach

 

Could i get a pic of what it looks like in the dash and did you have to cut the dash behind the lighter to make it fit??? I assume you used an autometer one.

 

lookng at getting one of these and replacing the cigerette lighter with it.

Anyone done this yet at all as Im lookig for pros and cons to it. I really like it as it will fit in the spot with minimal cutting and has the modual built into it instead of buying 2 pieces to make the shift light work. Any help and info on them would be awsome. Thanks

Thats pretty cool man I like it. Im gonna try where mine is going to go and if its too bright ill move it. Supposidly itis adjustable so i can adjst the brightness

 

Well I finally got around to putting my shift light in and I went with a stewart warner rpm / shift light. Just wondering what everyone thinks?? I like it and i know a few people I know didnt care for it

 

It's not my cup of tea, but if you like it, that's all that matters.

When I do mine, I'm hoping to get one that's small enough to mount down inside the cig lighter hole so that when I'm not at the track I can re-install the lighter to hide it.
