Re: interior color change

What color are you trying to change the interior to?

Why would you want to dye leather seats?

For the door panels, I believe you are able to purchase entire leather (pleather or vinyl) replacements, or you could just make a vinyl slipcover yourself. Not too awful hard if you are/know someone who is good with fabrics, and a sewing machine.

As for the carpet, you're probably better off just buying a complete replacement in the color you want. I bought mine from Summit Racing, and wouldn't recommend them as a vendor, as their carpet wasn't molded perfectly, and left me with a few 'bubbles' in the carpet, though they aren't too noticeable...I still know where they are

If you did want to dye your carpet, there are spray cans made for dying fabrics and the like, although they tend to leave the target a little stiff.

well i figured i had to dye them because the color i want ferrari uses on their interior and i was gonna buy the dye from them or whoever has that specific color code...its called cinnamon and some number code next to it..basically looks like a peanut butter color to me but thats the name they gave it.. so i figured i had to dye the seats and carpet to achieve what i wanted... did you use any sound deadener or liner before you laid your carpet?

Re: interior color change

I didn't use any sound deadener, I just put it in. Although, I was only 15 when I did it, so I was pretty naive at the time, I was just glad I had a cool car lol.

I'm not sure how to/if you can dye leather seats, my best advice would be to get seat covers that match the color, and choose a similarly colored carpet. That seems like the economical way to go of course.

Sorry if that wasn't much help, maybe someone else will know a little bit more about the subject than me.

yes you can dye leather...you have to sand the color off and clean and prep the seats very well and so on..the process takes a few days...seat covers are cloth aren't they?

Interesting, never knew you could dye leather. They do however make leather seat covers and the likes. Here is a site you might be interested in, to see if they have the color you are looking for.
