Re: Lower shift boot ANYONE??
Where the hell was this info 2 months ago when I was looking for one? Has anyone actually ordered this to prove it is the correct one? I have looked at the actual parts fiche for the 3rdgens and have never come across this part number anywhere; all the #s listed for the lower boot on the fiches show discontinued.

Re: Lower shift boot ANYONE??
I am currently on this same task myself. I ended up having a shrew jump out of the console/vent. During the tear down to check the wires I found that the previous owner "cut" out around the boot. Now that I'm looking I'm having the same problem as you guys. From what it appears the options would be either construct one or get one from a "you-pull" salvage.

I am not sure who owns the copyright. I purchased them from ebay for $5.99 each. I can tell they are hi-res scans of GM originals, but I dont know who did it.

Re: Lower shift boot ANYONE??
Call me crazy, but I just used a universal boot from autozone for 14.99. It is close in size to the original. I didnt have an original, but I assume it is a little larger. It had thick rubber like an original (I saw a poor condition one in the junk yard) and came with screws. It is all going to be under the shift plate anyways so you will never see it.
