I just finished my interior rebuild with Corbeau TRS seats, carpet, stereo upgrade, & Raamat.
My car was a daily driver for 17 yrs (Easter - Thanksgiving). Last four have been in storage. I am an original owner. I took it out to CA in Dec '89 and drove it up & down Hwy 1 - Oregon to Mex border. My plan was/is to drive my car in all lower 48 states. I have a Delta trip (MS, AR, LA) left as well as everything north of Yankee stadium left to do.
Here's an '89 pic from Santa Barbara, Ca:

The carpet is a 2 day job. The whole thing took me 10 days - a 3 day weekend and after work, work. That includes all the Raamat that went down. It was a lot of work, but not hard to do - just label everything you remove and its fine.
The seats are fantastic, but the little touch of the matching console lid is my favorite part.
That looks great! I'm really liking how the seats tie into the console lid. Also - any recommendation on where to get a set of these seats? I'm thinking of ditching my 4th gen leather.

I contacted Corbeau, then asked if they had any imperfects in the seat I wanted. The pass seat is imperfect (they told me there was a cut/slice in it), and I could not tell even when they told me what it was!! The extra savings on the imperfect went toward xtra material to take to a local upholstery shop. After having the backs done, I took the lid in and they used the same stitching to match everything. I used the underneath portion of the lid to keep perfect fit, screwed the underneath portion to a piece of plywood, then used aircraft foam (the densest foam available), and wrapped the leather around it. I'm glad you like it. It wasn't planned, but it really does tie everything together well.
usb is a serial port to allow external hard drives (ipod, iphone, etc) to play music from the deck. It also charges the phone while connected. I use the blue tooth so phone calls interrupt the music and the audio plays through the speakers with a microphone clipped to the visor - hands free phone calls! Also, allows scrolling through contacts on phone from the deck - keeping the phone in the console box. I didn't use any amps or subs - just deck and new speakers in original positions. With a glass top, I don't want to invite a crash and grab. Keepin' it clean and simple, but updated.
Very nice, and it's awesome you're the original owner. How do you like those seats? Those are the ones I've wanted for my 67 but I need to find a place I can sit in them before I drop the money on them.
Seats bolt right up! Just use the 4th gen brackets from Corbeau - they sit lower (I'm 6"4 - no problems).
I will change seat belts this summer. Still looking for the right combo and everyone demands that you advertise for them. That's why I went with the leather as no advertising or trademarks showing - that's just my thing. Plain, simple, and updated.
I hesitated at buying the xtra material for the back, but I do recommend having the front & back match. Seats & tires are worth the xtra!
The small black wire running along the tunnel is the microphone. I'm waiting to run it under the dash and up the driver's pillar and clip to the sun visor for hands free phone calls (audio through the stereo). Bluetooth is great!
Interior looks great. I have been looking for a nice set of seats and those look great. How comfortable do you think they would be on a road trip?
I balked at the price, but I'm glad I purchased. They are very comfortable and fully recline. The only issue I see is that if you have a waist over "38, you should get the wider seat. They say 36", but I think 38" is OK. I believe they will loosen a bit over time. I really like the high back for head rest. The only other seat I have appreciated like this would be the Porsche seats. I went with leather only because it was the only fabric that kept all advertising off the seats (company logos).
The only doubt I have is the mid-thigh support (keeps the legs front facing). On road trips, I like to move my legs side to side a bit - I'm 6'4". My legs are long so they can go over the top of those side supports. Like I said, I believe those side supports will loosen a little over time. I did a lot of research for the seats, and am very satisfied.

Excellent. How does the seat belt fit with those seats?
Seat belts fit fine, but I am on the lookout for better. I have the same problem with logos on aftermarket seat belts. I'm also looking to utilize the top slots for a 4 or 5 point system. I'm not in a hurry, but am looking.
The fourth gen seats are fine. I'm not sure I would upgrade to these if the 4th gens are already in and in good shape. I don't think there is any comfort difference with the one provision that the Corbeau seat will anchor you better - the fit is tighter and more exact. That is what I want since lowering the car and re-doing the suspension (g-force will increase).

Yes I can understand your displeasure with logoing. Good deal on the seat belts working well.
While the doors were apart for body & paint, I took out the dove grey from the door panels and replaced with leather (Corbeau xtra leather). I was worried that it might be "loose." It turned out fine and really darkens the cabin. I still have some leather left over......

I've had Corbeau seats recommended to me a number of times because they seem to run more generous for larger guys but I haven't run across them IRL to compare- I'm 6'4" and wear size 32 or 33 Old Navy jeans (I mention the brand because I'm pretty sure I actually measure bigger, but those fit well), I have a small butt, but I'm also 265# and am very large through my chest and shoulders (I typically measure about 56-58" around chest/suit size, I was just measured recently and they had to get a second tape measure to measure my total size around my shoulders). Any thoughts on how their seats would fit/if I would need to order the larger size? I've had a few manufacturers tell me "just buy the smaller base size and bend the top flatter" which makes me wonder how strong the top of their seat really is. I've never had any problems with anything production, that is if I can get in the car to start with.
Hi Mark,
WOW!, I'm a 56-58L, but in Euro/Italian sizes (44-46L US), haha. That's quite a drop! Drop is the difference between chest and waist size.
In modern obese America, you'd have to look hard to find anything off the rack at drop 8 or more in a dress shirt. Suits generally are drop 6-8 for the masses. Being a drop 12, I was fortunate enough to have a bespoke shirt made at the world's oldest shirtmaker, Charvet in Paris (pic). I wonder if the new on-line custom companies could help you." Bespoke" is true custom - they start with you. "Custom" is adulterated in that they start with their own sizing patterns and incorporate your measurements into that (and more affordable).
I like these seats because they are the most aggressive recliners that I saw - I wanted a recliner. I first saw them in a GM High-Tech Performance article - Bruenneman (spelling?, 2009-10?) had a black Formula that Hawk's did for him. They re-upholstered to fit their own fabric scheme - so they've uncovered them. The shoulder supports are just that. They are supports or bolsters. They are not as confining as say a fiberglass bucket style racing seat. At your size, I don't want to offer a suggestion without a fitment. Ask Hawk's what they think, contact Corbeau, and find a dealer near you and sit in one. As in clothing, fitment is king. I am extremely pleased with them - great purchase. When I get within 5 feet of the car, they seem to call out to me/invite me to sit in them.
