I had Scats Rally Recliners in an old car & LOVED them.

Check out Summit. They sell bolt in mounts the same seats. You can buy both seats & both mounts together. Jeg's just sells really generic mounts for Scat seats.

Re: racing seats scat procar

thanks for the info, also my main concern is the height of the seat. when i race the car and i put on my helmet with the stock seats in, it rubs the ceiling. so i dont need the seats to mount any higher than stock

I know the 4th gen seats set lower in our cars. I don't know if asking for a 4th gen seat mount would make any difference, or if the difference in height is mainly in our seats bottom cushions. Might not hurt asking for tracks for a 4th gen, just in case they would sit lower.

I'm 6'5", with 4th gens seats in my last few 3rd gens & even when running autox, my helmet didn't really much (if any) if I was sitting right.

Oh yeah....I've always wondered how short/tall the Scat Procars sit too, because of the headroom reason.

Re: racing seats scat procar

for my corbeau seats the 3rd and 4th gen mounting brackets ARE different. The 4th gen mounts are flatter and harder to install on the car, ie I had to do a little "reshaping" to make them bolt up. The 3rd gen brackets positioned the seat another inch or two higher, so buying the 4th gen mounts may not work for your car possibly.

That is odd, since we all know that the OEM 4th gen seats are a 100% direct bolt-in to a 3rd gen. I wonder why Corbeau would make different mounts? Maybe the Corbeau 4th gen mounts are shorter? What/Why did you have to "reshape" on the mounts? Did you to it to get them to sit higher?

Re: racing seats scat procar

I had some in my third gen, and most people complained about them sitting too high.

the corbeau 4th gen mounts are flatter. I had to pound the floor a lot to make it flat so it would work basically. 5 pound sledge and have at it. They sit lower than my buddies 3rd gen mounts just like I mentioned earlier.
