Re: glove box
There is the center console and the locking compartment in the rear on the driver side. I've heard some Firebirds have a vinyl or leather pouch attached to the passenger side dash, something like a map pocket.

Re: glove box
Way back when, Classic Industries actually sold one that fit in front of the passenger. It was a big ugly contraption that went the way of the T-Rex.

Re: glove box
Look at the Choo Choo customs camaros. Their glove box looks pretty good. Just wondering what they had to do to get it to fit. I assume we don't have them because their is no room??
Re: glove box
well i looked... i wasnt impressed but... to each his own... i would assume tho from looking at it that ours should have as much room as that one had... gm prolly just wanted to save that 1/8 lb lol

Re: glove box
I am content with the two areas provided for me by GM. Besides it keeps the weight down. I would however like a cup holder or two. I get a little spoiled with the six that are in my pickup.

Re: glove box
Every time you get into the thirdgen, you bring in two cup holders........one is your right hand, and the other is your left hand!!!

P.S. You could always get the wife/girlfriend/buddy/kid to hold your drink for you!!

Just Kidding!!

Re: glove box
To me, it looks like the dash was built out a bit, then a hinged cover added for something not much more than a map pocket.
This is a picture I found of a Choo Chho Customs Camaro interior, the dash is built out where the wood grain is, can't be more than about 2" of space behind there.

This is mine when I was replacing part of the heater box behind the radio. Note where the RS logo is, there is a depression, the same area built out and covered in wood grain on the Choo Choo Customs Camaro.
