is it my speedo cable or the gauge itself????
ok i have an 86 iroc with the 145 speedo from the factory. now occasionally when im driving ill get right up to about 45 and the speedo needle starts jumping rapidly. now i dont mean alittle speed woble, its a variance of about 60-90 mph between swings and when it happens it makes an awfull noise like tiny plastic gears grinding. i thought it might the end of the cable going bad but when i pulled the cluster out the cable end looks fairly square. so could this be an internal problem with the speedo or what???
