Black and tan interior with custom upholstered 4th gen seats
After my last post about black and tan interior, it was apparent that no one really had this color combo, at least not that I could find. I'v wanted to reupholster my 4th gen seats for sometime now so I just decided to bite the bullet and do black and tan seats even though I didn't really know how it would turn out. I just got back the custom seat covers and it looks like I made a good choice. What do you guys think? Hopefully I can install them soon.

This is what my seats look like now. I will probably replace the brown door handles with black to match more with the new seats.

I think that will look great! I would recover the upper portion of the door panel in black. I think it would carry the lines of the dash well. Who made those covers? Make sure you get yourself a pair of hog-ring pliars and some hog rings.

Looks great to me! I find it interesting that you did the bolsters tan and the center inserts black. It's opposite of what I would have envisioned (typically the dark color goes on the outer parts of the seat) but I think it looks fantastic! Good choice!

I originally wanted black on the outside but I thought it would be to much black for a mostly tan interior. I think it came out great though and I'm probably going to get black armrests to match the new seats.

Absolutely love it!
I'm doing a factory style black/tan in my car, I hope it turns out half as good as that.

The covergirl did the seats for me, she did a great job and sent me samples to make sure the colors matched up

That looks great!I might consider some black sail panels to complement the rest.Just a thought.
I thought the cover girl was out of business or having issues of some sort?

Yea she closed down her website but I pm'd her a few months ago and she said she still did seat covers.
I like the idea of black sail panels, I'll have to look into that.

Its fake leather but they are not slip on, they replaced the old material. I had to take the old ones off and use hog rigs to put the new ones on.

I just ordered black arm rests today and I am going to mock up some black sail panels to see how it looks before I buy the real thing.

Yea I can't decide if I really like the black sale panel. I did put black door handles in though and I think it looks better.
