Re: who has the best carpet
I just bought some made by ACC Mats (Auto Custom Carpets) and while the color match was near perfect (grey), it is not "moulded to a factory floor pan for a perfect fit" in the sense that the stock carpet just drops in place. It also has no holes in it for anything except the shifter. The means you have to locate and cut every single hole for seat belts, seat rails, power seat wiring, rear seat mounts etc. It's a big project. Looks ok once in place, but a little lumpy. Not too happy with it for $170. Also there is a nearly impossible to cut padding underneath with various stops and starts, but almost none of them line up with anything actually on the car, which means you are stuck cutting through this impossible to cut through stuff!

Stockinteriors.com has gotten some good reviews...some things are a little off but for the most part sounds like they are great.

Just fitted the ACC one, and as ZZ3Astro mentioned there's a fair bit of fettling to be done. However this one actually fits better than the moulded one I bought before, the plunging of small screwdrivers through the carpet hoping to find a bolt hole was worth it.

Re: who has the best carpet
I got the ACC stuff from 1A Auto this week. It is true that you need to cut your own holes in most places, but honestly I think it fits/looks better after the work. I cut holes as small as possible, and I think the ACC stuff is a bit bigger, so it goes further up the floorpan in the front and back. The end result after a little more than an hour's work was quite good. Well worth the work if you ask me.
Oh... and it helps a TON if you unroll it and let it sit a day or so before trying to place it.

Re: who has the best carpet
I don't have any "in progress" pics, but here are some of the finished product. Keep in mind I have a vert done by Matrix, so the supports in the floor under the carpet aren't always the same as yours. So you do see some "bumps" you wouldn't have.

You'll have to excuse the dirty picture of the trunk. I'd laid the old piece of carpet on top of it to help make the cuts I needed, and forgot to vacuum off the padding before I snapped the photo.
