Hey guys,

Friend of mine with a 02 T/A just picked up an awsome shift ****, it's leather with a gold bird on it for his Automatic shifter. Does anyone sell something like that for the 3rd gens? I know our ***** are slightly different but it would be cool if I could find something. So far google has failed me. lol

 

So know one knows? I still haven't been able to find one. Guess they must not make them.

 

Got a link to this **** he got? I would actually be surprised if it did NOT fit. Just a c-clip that holds it in, so surely your buddy will let you try his in your car.

 

I would love to try it! But he's in Utah and I'm in England.

A real friend would take it off...Ship it to you to let you try it. Then if it fits, you'd just order him one & have it shipped to him, or pay him for it so that he can order another one!

That is a T5 or T56 ****, manual transmission ****. The **** you posted a link too will not work on an Automatic, since there is no button on it for the Park/Reverse lockout.

That is the one that steamwalker posted, but I don't see how that would work for an Automatic tranny, because I see no Reverse/Park lock-out button.

Even only listed as "5spd or 6spd". I see it is on an Auto trans console (gear indicator beside it). But where is the Lock-out button? Does the whole **** push down for the Lock-out function?

 

It could work if was rigged up correctly. All it has to do is push down on the plastic piece that rides in the center of the shifter, thats all the T-**** does when you press the button.

 

I asked my friend how he's got it set up. I looked and don't see a button either so I'm interested in how he's got this rigged up.

 

Ok, got a response from him. Apparently there is an adapter you buy that allows you to push down on the **** to activate the "button" so you can shift. Would be a bit wierd I think.
