I like how those look. Never actually seen them before. Might have to see if I can land me a set for my restoration.

Re: Show me your carpeted panels.

A full set runs from $200 to $300, they are very hard to find in a full set too, but a very worth it. Also thirdgenranch.com is selling gray and black carpet for your panels too.

Re: Show me your carpeted panels.

I've been toying with the idea of just painting my panels now from red to black and then carpeting them myself. Been reading through some posts and it doesn't seem to be hard. Then again, I like the tan/black interior look and part of me wants to go that route. Tough decision. Full sets from Hawks are $250+ shipping and thats just rear panels so I'm not sure yet.

Actually, we have carpet kits for interior plastic available in black, gray, tan, beechwood, red, blue, and charcoal. The kits are $65 and come complete with glue. They are a great way to cover your scratched or faded plastic or just to upgrade to the look of factory carpeted pieces. You can find them through the link below.

Denny - are the pieces for the front kick panels surged on the edge like the originals?
It's hard to tell from the pics.

Sorry, the front kick panel pieces have the same edges as the pieces for the rear.

Re: Show me your carpeted panels.

You mean to tell me that some of these cars came from the factory with carpeted covered plastics as an option?!?! Hmmmm... interesting. Was this an option only available on the earlier models? I've owned three Trans Am GTAs and was always into these cars since their introduction and never seen a fully carpeted interior until now.

Deluxe interior option IIRC. Had it in my '87 IROC.

I'm guessing that was a Camaro only option? I never really followed any of the Camaro offerings which is why this is all new to me.

Re: Show me your carpeted panels.

I have them in my 1982 Trans Am. I think they stopped offering them at some point because the later models that were heavily optioned don't have them. My TTA does not have them. While I do plan on replacing the ones in my 82, I do like the look of the TTA without them - much cleaner.

Actually, from what I have seen, they are much more common in Firebirds.
