I am pretty sure ACC is the only one making carpet for Thirdgens. No matter where you buy it from, chances are it is made by ACC.
Re: help finding a good carpet
simply compare total price including shipping. Check out stockinteriors.com and compare the price to 1a auto who is a site sponsor. Since it's the same product, price wins.

It's called mass backing,it cost about $60.00 extra but it is well worth the money. It acts as a sound barrier and it,s a good insulator.
Re: help finding a good carpet
we can mess with that word can't we?
I would say not to get any carpet which has mold but buy the moulded carpet. Sadly, the old English version probably isn't taught in school any more so they use (incorrectly I might add) mold for all applications
I bought from stockinteriors because they had a sale at the time. If 1A was only a few bucks more I would have tossed them the business but they would not price match so I voted with my wallet. Do give 1A the business if pricing is comparable (including shipping) because they are a site sponsor
just sweep and vacuum the floor well prior to laying the carpet. I thought I had it good, went to place in the new carpet and it's as if the dirt monster had gone inside my car so i vacuumed again
Also, if you are going to replace that dirty and tired headliner then tear out the old one before putting in the new carpet
