is there any way to remove the praypaint of of the carpet? i can get it off the panels easily but its just horrible on the carpet

 

Did you just buy this? Did some one paint the carpets to make it look better for an easier sell?

Any way, I think you're gonna have to remove the carpet to either replace it or clean it.

 

yeah I agree with this, going to have to remove the carpet and replace with new/used.

 

i traded my 1998 camaro for it on the 26th of december. i wanted a project, and this is definitely a project..... but the panels, the carpet, and the lower backseat buckets are sparypainted

Nope, not from GM. Light tan, but never white.

well, i figured it was white because the door panel parts of the rear seat were white. and the plastics are white but just badly painted over

EDIT: the front seats, the upper half of the back seats, plastic molding with the lock box and the dash are the only things not painted

 

seems like they didnt even put a safe coat on it.. well theres this spray that you could use on the carpet and it will remove paint but for use on carpet i think it would come out really shabby so i would look in classfieds and looka around and see whos selling parts in camaro.

 

yeah, i've started searching for interior parts, but im not gonna get as lucky with this firebird as i did with my camaro which i got the interior out of a basicly new 89 that had the same options for 80$ (which ment all of the seats, door panels, shifterplate, speaker covers, and the spare tire panel)

 

Well here in Idaho theres alot of junk 3rd Gens that noone seems to know the value. im pretty sure they got carpet. ill look around and see if i find one for you.

 

i find at most 3 camaros and 0 firebirds around my local junkyards... also see if you can find the center tail light peice for the firebird, i'd appreciate it

acctually, thinking about it, you dont really need to worry about it, for something that size it'd cost a pretty penny to ship
