Footwell wiring problem

Hello! I have an issue with my footwell lights not properly operating when you open the door, ive chased wires and i cannot find the wires that connect to the door jam switch. From the wiring systematics in haynes manual it says the door jam switch goes just before the actual footwell socket, but that wiring looks like it goes right back into the dash. I'm not sure how to wire this lol. I have an 84 firebird, original 2.8 v6 car, now a v8 swap, computer ripped out, harness for computer is still there.

Thanks for reading!

Re: Footwell wiring problem

Double check bulb connection as well as fuse. With age and vibration they sometimes loosen up slightly.

Re: Footwell wiring problem

The light sockets work with headlight dimmer switch. Door jam switches have no wires hooked to them, and i see no stray wires hanging out.. lol

Re: Footwell wiring problem

Ive been staring at that for a few days, can someone pop off their kick panel and take a pic of where the wire goes from the door jam switch? Just straight to the bulb socket? Idk where it splices in.
