How to get to the convenience center?
What's the easiest way to access the convenience center on a 1989 Trans am? my flasher is on the fritz and needs replacing. I had to get to it before but it was a complete pain in the a$$ unbolting everything. Is there only a select amount of things to unbolt to get to it? I have a feeling I took off to much last time

Re: How to get to the convenience center?
This is from the 88 Firebird service manual. I replaced the flasher on my 88 Firebird but I went went there four times before I found it. A real pain. The only thing I had to remove was the kick panel under the steering wheel. Maybe four screws. The reason I couldn't locate is because it's right above the ALDL and convenience center. Use a mirror and a light. Hope the diagrams help.

Seems to be stop/hazard/turn exterior lights.

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe that convenience centre is hinged on one side and has a quick release on the other so it can fold down and you can get to the components easily.
