Can someone confirm if GTA's with leather seats had leather or cloth door panel inserts? I have not seen a leather interior GTA in person and it's hard to tell from photos. Looks like they are all cloth, but please confirm if you have one. My interior is all cloth, so I have no reference. Thanks

Same here. I have an extra set of door panels I was thinking about redoing them with Leather similar to the pattern of the Acura NSX door panel stitching to give the car a more luxurious look.

 

I have only seen cloth door panels in the GTA's so far.

What style of door panel? the flat ones or the molded panels?? My car has leather seats, flat door panels with leather inserts, shifter, Ebrake handle and the steering wheel. I'll have to take a picture of it for you.

 

The leather seats that GM made are not 100% leather.
It is leather seating area only.
The sides and the back are vinyl.

The flat door panels can have the insert material from the seat in the door panel.
The molded ones can not. GM had no way to bond seal the leather to the vinyl like the cloth to vinyl.

I have never seen them. I have a set of gray cloth NOS doorpanels tho..

 

For a GTA, what the OP asked about, it would be the molded panels. That was part of the Deluxe Interior option which was standard for the GTA.

 

I got my leather door panels out of a 92 GTA, they are flat not molded.
I just didn't know when they quit putn the molded ones in the GTAs.

 

Then it either wasn't really a GTA that you got them out of (junkyard?) or a previous owner changed it out because the Deluxe Interior was a standard, not optional like other items, part of the GTA package.

 

Nope, org owner GTA that got parted. It also had a 305, auto, aluminum drum posi 2.73 gear rearend, aluminum driveshaft/spare tire, TTOPs with CD player. It was a 91 or 92 car, I'm thinking 92.
It was 15 yrs plus yrs ago when it was parted. I found the build sheet and the rop code sticker also.
