The high beam rod to the blinker switch?

My colum is cracked from someone trying to steal car. All lights and blinkers work, except to the high beams. The rod isn't connected to the switch. If I just push rod highs work fine. My ?? Is how do I attach it to the switch?? I think my switch is broken I don't see a way to connect??

Re: The high beam rod to the blinker switch?

I think he is complaining that the OTHER end doesn't connect. Someone tried to steal the car so no doubt broke the switch at the TOP of the column. I have the same issue. There is a small plastic cam I think that the rod fits into and the dimmer stalk inserts through. The best bet is to get a factory service manual(that is on my list too!) so you can pull the wheel and access the dimmer controls to fix it. Sounds like there may not be an easier fix than that...

Yes it's at the top where it connects to the blinker/wiper handle. If I push the rod by hand it works but won't pass for sticker under Safty. Something is defiantly missing/broken. I'll will get the book and see what I can find out..
Thanks guys
