Beechwood GTA Seats
Hey guys, restoring the interior on my 88' GTA,
its got the Beechwood leather seats, i have been looking around on the forum as where to get new covers so i can have my upholstery guy do them over.
i know hawks has them, but ive been reading there covers are not the correct shade of tan?
before i shell out $1,000 for them i was wondering What do you guys recommend?

I seriously considered using Jax, but they took WAAAAAAAY too long to send me the leather sample I requested. It took them about 3 months for them to send me a little tiny piece of material. While I was waiting on their sample, I got really impatient and ended up ordering my leather from Katzkin. The color I chose isn't a 100% match to the factory Beechwood color, but it does look really nice.
The leather sample I requested from Jax showed up about 2 weeks after I had received my leather covers from Katzkin. I must say that the leather color sample I received from Jax is probably an exact color match to the factory Beechwood color. However, their leather covers are a lot more expensive than what I paid for my Katzkin covers. The price I paid for both front and rear seats from Katzkin cost around the same price for JUST the fronts from Jax. Also, Katzkin's leather feels thicker which will probably be more durable. It smells great too.
Here's a few pictures of my newly recovered seats.

Re: Beechwood GTA Seats
well they dont have to be 100% match to the originals, i just wanted to make sure they were at least close, those in the pictures look pretty good to me.
did you get them through hawks? or directly from katzkin?

i want to make sure i chose the right options here. so they match the orginals

Re: Beechwood GTA Seats
Damn Carlos, those seats looks outstanding. I see alot of GTA/Trans Am covers for both 3rd and 4th gens that do not exactly conform to the factory fit. Props to Katskin as that looks 100% OEM with better quality leather.

Re: Beechwood GTA Seats
Another vote for Lethal Interiors here.....although I don't know that it'd be less than $1000. Send her a quote request, she's very easy to deal with. While my seats are a bit different, they ARE beechwood leather, and I do have beechwood plastics. You can see how well they match. Color match is spot on.
