LED Lights on Instrument Cluster

I have read the boards and searched the internet. It seems everything I am reading states you have to add resistors and do solder work in order to replace the lights on my 1986 Camaro. I am not sure but isn't the newerr replacement bulbs for the 194 lights do the same thing without the soldering and stuff. Is that a direct replacement for the bulb and nothing else needs done? Just curious as I really do not want to do a bunch of soldering and stuff if its not really needed. Call me lazy ( which I am ) but seems to be easier then ever to do this now. I read the aritcle on this site created back in 2006 and sems it maybe a little outdated with current technology. Great write up though.

They have a wide variety of plug-in replacement bulbs,
and a lot of other neat stuff.

thanks, That works great. I do not know why my search functions work at times, then not at others. Maybe my age is catching up with me

Re: LED Lights on Instrument Cluster

Question, the LED's for the dome light. How do I make them or where do I buy them? And Tylercamaro, who is this guy who can retrofit anything? Good prices?
