Looks like I need to do a harness to get rid of all the splice and dice the POs did to my under dash harness. what years should I look for? Will a camaro one fit (doubtful)?

Definitely don't get a Camaro harness as that won't be compatible with your GTA. As for which years to look for for a compatible harness I believe any between 85-89 will work. Just make sure it matches up with your power accessory options and all should be good. You also don't have to worry about looking for a harness that came from the auto, as the manual and auto are the exact same.

Re: Dash harness info

The best matching harness will come from an 88 Firebird with TPI. Second best choice would be from an 89 Firebird TPI.

There were a lot of changes from pre 87-to-88 so I stear clear of those if possible. ( 87 dash harness stops at the drivers kick panel,.. 88+ dash harness ends all the way at the back of the car ) 90-92 are Speed Density TPI's so I'd stay away from those unless you are converting your TPI to keep things 'simple'.

Re: Dash harness info

There is an 87 firebird that just got to the junkyard. It is most likely a V6 car (havent seen it yet). Would the harness out of that car work?
