Locked Out, 85 Camaro

Done a bonehead thing and locked the keys in the ignition and the spare is on the keyring, bonehead move #2 !
Ok, How do I get this thing unlocked without tearing up the rubber seals and or breaking the glass ?????????
Any info will be appreciated. Thanks.

I did this at work years ago, i went to my nearest GM dealer and gave them my vin# and he made me a key, for i think it was 15$ They wanted a title to prove i own the car but the guy in there was really cool.

Thanks, I think I'll go that route. Its way cheaper than tearing stuff up.

If you search you will find many threads showing you how insanely easy it is to open these cars without keys, no damage required.

It's always good to have extra keys anyway. For times like these.

Re: Locked Out, 85 Camaro

Called my GM dealer and they only go back to 1990 to make a duplicate key and even if I could the cost is not $15 its more like 30 to 40$ total.
The car is in good shape and is a project anyway so I'm not in a big hurry.
I will search the threads for a solution or just call a Locksmith. Thanks.
