Camaro console in Firebird

I can not find a console lid to fit my 82 Trans am. Does anyone know if an 82 Camaro's upper console is a direct fit in the Firebird? Thanks

I believe that they are the same from 82-83. I actually have a lid from a Camaro if interested.

I am interested, as long as the console top fits. They do not make replacement lids for the 82-83 Firebirds.

Here are some pics I took just now. It's not mint but in remarkably good shape for a 30 yr old part imo.
Since it's sometimes hard to tell from pics, it has a few scratches on the top, a crack along the underside (shown). The corners are turned up, along with the edges pulled out as you can see. I'm assuming that the bottom can be removed so you can reset the edges and corners. The spring loaded hinge is included and functional as well as the latch button. It does have 303 protectant on it btw.

Keep an eye out on eBay, NOS lids pop up from time to time but they can be a bit spendy.

Re: Camaro console in Firebird

After viewing pics of both cars consoles on line, it appears they mount differently to the lower consoles.

Oh they do? The pics above should have helped as well.
I hope you are able to find one you can use.
