Centers are black. Arm rests and floor mats changed to black. I also just put in a double din touch screen stereo and original steering wheel controls work with it.
A company sells a black/tan leather kit on ebay for the GTA... I asked him to do it for a TTA (because the back seats are different on TTA and notchbacks) and he has that pattern. I had a local car upholstery shop install them- which I highly recommend if you want them done right.
Thanks! I was very pleased at how good the doors look with only changing the armrest to black. I also just changed the rear speaker covers to black and that looks good too. I will post a photo of the double din stereo install when I get a chance.
That's a Pit Pass on my console by the shifter...I cut off the pin backs and glued it on there, better to display it than have it sit in a drawer. They only cost about $20 on eBay sometimes, they made 1000's of them- adds a nice touch. The radio face plate was laser cut to my specs and it fit perfect. My Steering Wheel controls work with it, and it's has hands free calling blu toothed to my phone- brings the car on par with my wife's Prius!
This is fun, got a double din in there, my original wheel controls work with it , changed the left side buttons to illuminate orange to match the dash, and I put in a nifty screen backround
This is leather and on a fresh install this is typical to look like this- I was actually pretty happy that the fit was this good compared to others I've seen from guys that did it themselves. Leather shrinks, relaxes and conforms with some time and some heat. Now- 2 weeks later after I took those pictures they look MUCH better, mostly from the few days I let the car sit outside with the windows up in Florida no less. Anything that needs tweaked later can be fixed with some hair dryer heat on the leather and steaming the foam to expand a bit. Some wrinkles on the tighter fitting sharper curves is expected on these seats, In see this on my stock "before" shots that I took before I started the project. If you are thinking about recovering your seats this is all info I researched and now have experienced first hand. Vinyl is another story- looks great at first install but can expand over time and look loose later. Again- our seats have many tight curves unlike say a new Dodge Charger seat with large flat panels. To look 100% super nice like 26 years ago you'd just about have to install all new foams too- not an expense I wanted to shell out.
