Removing dashpad, what to expect?
I'm removing the dash pad in order to resolve a terrible squeaking in the middle of the dash. The pad is remarkably easy to take off and it has been off recently at a shop. My question is what will most likely require replacing in the dash? One side is loose, but placing a towel there doesn't help it, so I imagine it is a dash internal

When you take the dash off, look on the underside to see if there are any rub or"wear" marks. If so, apply some felt.
Then, put you hand in the dash and see if anything feels "loose".
If not, keep the pad off, drive the car with a buddy and see if touching parts of the dash makes the noise disappear...it will be trial and error.

word of advice, when you take the bolts out near the windshield defroster make sure you put a rag over or tape it off first. I was extra careful when taking them out but still managed to drop one in there
