custom gauge pod idea

custom gauge pod idea

I want to do a custom gauge pod and was thinking about utilizing the ashtray area since Im a non smoker anyway. I thought about using this idea posted a while back.

You can source a replacement sheet of textured ABS (?) to replace the ash tray portion of the shift plate. Then mount the gauges using these or similar:

I did something similar in my Acura. Since I don't smoke I sacrificed the lighter location for a gauge:

Only thing is, now I need to add a charging port for my phone.

If you want something a little different you can source the gauge angle rings from a marine supply place:
