What's going on here
My tach is always like this off and on and never moves I disconnect the battery once then it went down to zero what's happening

This isn't helpful, but I had a friend that had an S-10 Blazer that had a speedometer that would just spin around with the cable.
We were driving up US101 and I asked him how fast he was going.
"Don't know yet. We're still accelerating."

Another victim .... I fixed mine with a 5 cent 96K resistor ....
Just have to pull out the tach circuit board and solder in the resistor. Follow the
instructions on the link provided above.
