New Leather Interior from Lethal Leather (Princess)
The new (ultra) leather interior for my IROC from Lethal Leather (Princess Dion) was delivered today and I'm very happy with the results.
Went with black leather, with perforated leather centres and red stitching. Got the door trims done at the same time and a carpet dash cover too. The pattern itself is stock for this model and Princess nailed it 100%. Obviously she's done Camaros before and has the factory patterns.
The cost was about the same as stock seat covers, but I liked being able to customise the interior.
Took about nine months to arrive, but I did tell Princess a couple of times there was no rush because the car had come out of the paint shop and would take time to reassemble. As it happens the new interior arrived just as I'm ready to complete the interior trim.
Princess's work is fantastic and she's a very pleasant person to deal with.
I'll post some more photos after the seats are bolted into the car.

Awesome, I love mine. She is great to work with and her workmanship is second to none.
A little tip if you haven't installed covers before. I bought some hog ring pliers from lowes. About half way through. I figured out I needed to grind the tips of them down so the rings would sit farther out in them. This made installing the rings MUCH easier.

Thanks for the tip, I've ordered a set of hog ring pliers and will start to put the covers on over the weekend.
I'll post some more pictures then.

Re: New Leather Interior from Lethal Leather (Princess)
The interior install is moving along slowly.
I rear seats and head rests are done and fit perfectly. Princess must use factory patterns to get the fit so precise.
The amount of detail in her work is amazing.
Installing new covers is a painful job. I do one or two pieces and then leave it for a while. After a while I forget about the pain and do some more.
Still doing some wiring under the dash, so there is no rush to do the front seats.
Can't do the door trims until I replace the window motors and mirrors.
Princess charges about the same as the kits from Hawkes/Classic etc, but with Princess you can get the interior customised any which way.
Princess has a backlog of work, so if you need covers make sure to order it well in advance.

Re: New Leather Interior from Lethal Leather (Princess)
Hi Peter,
I have a set of formula covers that I ordered from Princess. Should have them in about a month. I was quoted $600 to have them installed professionally by a local shop. I am going to install them myself. Can you offer any suggestions? I have been looking for a video on an install but could not find any. Do you have any photos of the install.
And I must say, Princess is a wonderfull pleasant person to do business with.

Hi Louis,
for $600 I'd endure the pain of doing it yourself.
* buy a set of hog ring clips and pliers on eBay
* hit Youtube and watch videos on the topic
* take your time
* there are a couple of places where it's impossible to get the hog ring pliers into, just cheat and use zip ties
Cheers

Thanks Peter, did you use a plastic bag over the seat backs to make it easier to slip the new one on?

I bought a set of pliers from lowes. Best advice on pliers is to grind the tips of them down so the ends of the ring stick out from the pliers as much as possible. I didn't figure this out til the last seat and it went MUCH easier.
That video helped a lot too.
