A huge
to all those that put in so much work and were willing to share.
I will update with new locations as they arise.
Looks rough, but might just be the printer quality and that is what sand paper was made for. Now I have a good excuse for the wife so I can get a printer, lol.

Re: 3D Print Plans 2 DIN bezel and ALDL cover
By the looks of the 3D Printed ALDL cover, with those non-beveled mount tabs, once it's on it would be hard to remove. IDK..

Good point. Looking at the last pic (original?) shows the beveled edge. Can always tweak the plans. I would like to see more and maybe even make some plans for hard to find parts.

I actually looked to see if this had been posted before, but did not find that post. Thanks for showing me where it is.

Re: 3D Print Plans 2 DIN bezel and ALDL cover
That's why for https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/car-...dio-bezel.html I updated the posted with all the links for the 3d files for the different (and amazing) bezels made by 7thdarkangel and Cehbra.
I do think a thread with all the links to 3d printing resources thirdgen related would be great, with the first post updated with links, description, and credit to the person that designed it. With a lot of the pieces becoming more and more rare (damn cupholder screw covers). A resource and more members willing to help those resources would be great, and making sure we credit the ones that decide to spend the time, designing, printing, editing, reprinting, looking for ways to further improve it. These resources aren't something that magically appear and work the first time.

Re: 3D Print Plans 2 DIN bezel and ALDL cover
Has anybody 3D printed the 1982 only seat belt covers? I need a set and I think the aftermarket ones are incorrect.

Re: 3D Print Plans
Changed the first post to reflect suggestions, which was kind of my intent from the beginning. I apologize that I did not give proper credit to the creators of the files originally.
Re: 3D Print Plans
It's just good to make sure the people get credit, and maybe link the threads so people know how it fits, if and any other little things about what they did.

Here's one to add:
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2550954/apps/#apps
Designed by me, it's not perfect, but 3d Prints aren't resto parts anyway.
Hasn't been printed yet. But I believe I've got a good Gcode file to try. Next time I load up ABS I'll print it off.

I will update with new locations as they arise.
Looks rough, but might just be the printer quality and that is what sand paper was made for. Now I have a good excuse for the wife so I can get a printer, lol.

Hey! I know this is an old thread, but know anyone that could design headlight bezels for an 02 Firebird?

Hey David, while that is possible, you're probably in the wrong location. This site is dedicated to "Third Gen" (1982-1992) Firebirds and Camaros. The skills exist to do what you're asking here, but not many of us would have the car you're asking about to model from.

Re: 3D Print Plans
are you actually just looking for this screw? Because, that part is already pretty readily available.

if you’re looking for that little 91.5-92 hatch piece, I would be happy to make a model if you have broken bits to send my way and a willingness to be a test mule.

Re: 3D Print Plans
If you go to Lowe's or Home Depot, they have a decent selection of those plastic and metal automotive trim piece connectors. Just go to the hardware section and look for the automotive bin. If all you're looking for is those plastic trim piece screws, they have those. Also a lot of various clips and connectors. Very cheap too.

Re: 3D Print Plans
Screw: It's doable, but will have some issues. Color match will be very poor, and strength of the screw will be poor or it will take a lot of post processing to clean supports from the threads. Are you wanting to print it yourself from a model or looking for someone to do it for you?
Re: 3D Print Plans
Hatch Piece: Let me know. If you (or anyone) can get it out, I'd be happy to model it up and get them out there for the community.

Re: 3D Print Plans
I found this and ordered it and it worked however this new version is a reinforced and improved verision of the original and my old one was completely in pieces. However this replacement works very well I think you make money off of recreating this cheaper than this Site
Let me know if it gives up early or isn't reliable though! I'd be happy to give it a run if the quality just isn't there yet.
