New Badges for 89 GTA from GM Restoration
Bought a set of these from Hawks and I have to say they are extremely nice. Very high quality, even the box they came in was nice. Painter is installing them this week so if there's any installation issues I'll pass them on but otherwise I'd highly recommend them. If anyone wants to see pics, let me know and I'll post them.

What color did you buy? Any reliable sources for GRAY GTA emblems which are the original DARK Gray vs. the pale reproductions?

Re: New Badges for 89 GTA from GM Restoration
I bought black and gold for my Black GTA. Have to say me initial enthusiasm has been dampened. Again the quality of the badges was excellent and I'm extremely happy with all the badges in the set....except the nose emblem. Unfortunately its far too flat and doesn't have the right curvature to hug the nose properly. My body guy is going to try a few things to improve it but I may just look for an OEM NOS nose badge. Its so flat there are significant gaps between the sides of the badge and the nose. I'll take some pictures of it as it is now and post them up as well as try and show the differences from the OEM badge that was on the car and the new one. Given the cost AND the quality its seems like a huge oversight.
I have entertained the possibility I purchased the wrong set. The set at Hawks is advertised as for 87-92 so I doubt it but if someone knows if there is a difference please let me know.
Also, I have NO idea why I posted this in the interior forum lol. If a moderator wants to move it to the body forum, feel free.

Common complaint. Quality excellent, but nose piece is flat unlike the factory piece.

Is there a source to have an original backing nose emblem restored?

Here’s a pic of my new one, installed, from each side. Goes back to,the paint shop tomorrow. Going to have them add some thick black double-sided foam tape to help fill the gap for now. Then starts the hunt for an NOS Nose emblem.

I won't say there isn't, but I've never heard of it.
I've often wondered if you ran into the right crafts person at a craft fair, if they might not be able to do something with an original. But I don't really know.
A quick Duck Duck Go search, and...

...but it appears they only work on early examples with copper backing. Whatever the options are, they will NOT be cheap.

That’s my fault. I was wrong. They advertise it as 87-90.
