Ideas for a Brighter & Luxurious Interior
I recently bought my 88' IROC and it's really starting to hit me on how dark, depressing and down right scary the stock interior is on these cars. It didn't bother me at first because I've always wanted to own one, but now that the novelty has worn off it really bothers me. So I'm making it my mission to transform the interior into a place I'll be happy to ride in and have guest in. Below are some Ideas I had for color scheme and seats and dash/panels:
I will update as I progress on my plan.

Before I bought the T/A, one of the serious contenders was a "Seven-Up" Mustang. Beautiful dark green metallic with white interior and top.
Like the Mustang, and many other cars, I could see white seat, rood panels, etc. But the dash and carpet need to be darker IMO. That top one is a bit much for me.

So it's dark, depressing, scary and bothersome....yet you didn't notice this when you bought it? Nothing wrong with making changes and doing your own thing, but a lot of us here happen to like these interiors.
regardless......welcome to TGO.

When you first go out with a girl, all you notice is the exterior and how hot and fun she is, however after a short time you start noticing the flaws. Same thing here.
