Theoretically, it just unscrews. However, on one of my cars, after several methods and cuss words, even vice grips won't rotate it. When you've gotten to the point of vice grips (and a rag) and it still won't turn? It's not coming out, ever.

Bend a 90* turn in it, that'll give you the leverage to get it out. Then get one from one of the three dozen junk Fieros behind your roommate's shop.
