no sun visors

Has anyone eliminated the sun visors in their cars? Curious, I've seen show cars without them (Bitchin' Rides), but I've been toying with the idea when I redo my headliner. Everyone's opinion welcome on this subject.

Re: no sun visors

I have temporarily (along with the headliner and much of the interior trim), but only while I'm still trying to fix all of my leaks. I usually wear a hat while I drive, otherwise I'd be holding up my right hand most of the time just to be able to see. Definitely wouldn't recommend it, unless you're just never going to drive while the sun's out.

Could always get the "ZBandit" style truck visor for the outside, cruise to the truck stop to pickup some strange, chat up the long haulers, long hours, talking about the smokeys.

As seen on TV, Facebook, and the trailer park...

Not exactly what I was thinking, but thanks for that. We all need a laugh at this moment.

This is the kind of feedback that I was looking for. I just can’t remember ever using them in my Camaro. I rarely use them in my daily driver (maybe 3 times in 6 years). Am also curious about the legality of not having them.

Re: no sun visors

I got a plastic head liner with no sun visors. It works great way better then the crappy stock ones.

Re: no sun visors

I don't have sun visors in any of my vehicles, hasn't ever bothered me.

Re: no sun visors

I did it for a year or so with ICT delete plates. Ended up putting them back on. I think the plates are more noticeable than a visor honestly. I even painted mine black to match but you notice the plate more bc it’s on a large smooth surface like a belly button. With the visor you don’t see it as much for some reason prob bc the visor breaks up the large open smooth space that is the headliner.

This is the kind of feedback that I am looking for. A clear perspective of both options. Mine was not about the sun glare as much as it was about aesthetics, what looks best. Thank you for sharing.
