Complete Dash
Has anyone completely replaced their Dash? Not just the cover, the entire dash? Just got my'89 Roc and the dash looks OK but its cracked in a few places and it quite brittle...

I bet its a huge Chore - Scooter we're the ones you got from the the same year cars? Are they all still the same? Mine is an '89 but I've found a possible line on one from an '84... Are they the same?

Wow thats pretty cool, I guess you would have to cut everything out though, that would really be a chore...

I'm thinking it's for more of a gutted race car. But cool nonetheless. GlassTek has quite a bit for the 3rd gen Camaro.

Re: Complete Dash
For sure... I live in Southwestern New Mexico and my car was original in SoCal and it was in Las Vegas for the last 13 years (I'm 3rd owner). Prolly why it's all brittle. But the one that I'm waiting on a price for is in Washington state. So it should be better. It just so happens that the dash pad/cover I just bought and put in came off the same car and its in awesome shape, one excellently repaired crack off the driver speaker cover going to the windshield. other wise dang near perfect.

Lmk when you take out that stereo stuff. I'll probably buy some of it off you.

Ok I will but I want to sell it all at the same time, not here and part there. Thats how stuff ends up in my garage for ever.... Yeah you can see where the one crack comes off the speaker so I thought I was buying it with one crack, but when I unboxed it it was repaired, very nicely in-fact!

Just an FYI once you get the lower dash out be suuuuper careful with it. I've broken mine and fixed it twice since I took it out, and have yet to put it back in...

That was nice of the seller to fix that for you! Very cool!

Re: Complete Dash
Here's a tip that might help you...
I ordered my 83 from the factory w/o AC. Several years ago I installed a factory system including an AC dash from a salvage yard car. I removed the dash the hard way by trying remove all the parts that were attached to the dash and removed basically just the plastic shell.
When it was time to install the AC dash I assembled it like the factory would have done. Just a few bolts and a couple main harness connections and it was done.
