Question about 1990 Formula Shift Plate Light
Hello, I have searched the forum for quite awhile and can't seem to find the answer to my question. I have a 1990 Firebird Formula and when I remove the center console I don't see a wire/socket for the shift plate light. However, the console has the receptacle for the bulb under the shift plate. I should mention this console seems to be a replacement because the RPO codes on the label don't match the car.
So, my question is, did all 1990 firebirds come with the light in the shift plate or is it possible I've been searching for a wire/socket that isn't in the car?
Thanks!!
David

All mine from 89 -92 have the light. Either it was cut out or it's buried in the console area. Under the carpet happens a lot

Hmmmm. Thank you for the reply. I swapped out the whole interior in this car, including the carpet and still didn't see the harness with the socket. Where does the wire/socket usually come from? The dash area or from near the brake and NSS?
Thanks!
Thanks!
