Heater a/c control head light bulb replacement

The bulb is under the top hat looking black plastic piece. How do I get it out? Twist? Pull? I can pull it out about 3/4" from the grey plastic portion, exposing more of the white socket but that cap doesn't want to budge, twisting or pulling, with what I consider to be reasonable force.
Oh, '88 Formula

No one?

I've looked in all logical places in my Helm manual, as well as a Master Parts Catalog and can't find anything about replacing it or part numbers. Surely someone has replaced this bulb.

Edit: I found this thread. Seems like the bulb itself cannot be replaced. Although a 194 bulb is specified in the manual.

My memory is a bit fuzzy but I think the bulb housing pushes in from the front, so it would pull back out the front too. I do remember I almost had to call Superman to get mine out.
