I recently installed a set of 4th gen Camaro convertible seats into my 87 T-Top and there are no seatbelt guides with these. I can't tell if some 4th gen camaro vert's didn't have seatbelt guides or if mine were simply recovered at some point covering up the mounting holes? I've attached a picture to show it doesn't look like there's really anything to mount them to here. I haven't seen any images of stock seats without the provision for the mounts, however. I could join a fourthgen forum for this one question, but figured enough people here might know to weigh in on it. Thanks!
Mine must not have them - they came out of a 93 if it makes any difference. Maybe I’ll be able to use some non damaging adhesive to stick some on there because I’m getting real tired of my belt sawing at my neck every time I turn my head
DoctorStoopid: your car has 1993-96 style Camaro seats. The 1997-02 seats are a different style -- and I know for a fact that the '01 Convertibles had seatbelt guides with a slot taken out to move the belt in or out for rear passenger entry. Based off this, I would imagine that at least all 1997-02 seats had the slotted seatbelt guides. FWIW, the 1994 Z28 Convertible poster that I used to have in my bedroom shows no seatbelt guides. So I would guess they became standard in either 1997, or maybe 1995 or 1996.
Maybe you can just run a couple of screws in where they should be, and mount them yourself. I don't know what the structure under everything looks like, but the screws that hold the guides on appear to just be sheet metal screws, nothing special.

I'd like to avoid putting holes in the leather and having it rip and crack on me if there are no threads underneath to retain the screws.
If anyone knows of an adhesive I could use to keep the guides in place just so the belt isn't slapping me in the face when I'm driving and that won't harm the leather, I'm open to ideas. It doesn't have to be stupendously strong since these seats never get pulled forward anyway.
theres probably no adhesive that will stick to the fabric
Try feel the headrest area to see if there is a metal plate provision. I can;t imagine they made these seats special just for the convertibles. the plate that the guides on coupes screw into are probably there.
You'll need an escutcheon in order for the screws that hold the guide to the seat to anchor onto. Doubt the seats will have them since the never had the guide.
I wanted to use these type https://www.ebay.com/itm/31412681962...Bk9SR4Ccy5WzYQ, but being the cheap bastard that i am i thought i would snag a set from the JY cars.

I was watching this thread because I purchased aftermarket seats without a belt guide, thanks for the ebay link, that is perfect!
